We are going to Oz for a month in December and will be spending ten days of our trip in Perth in January.
We are going for a holiday but more importantly for a fact finding mission as we are thinking of emigrating out to Oz and in particular Perth.
We have been looking at the tons of Oz internet sites to find out where in Perth Brits are emigrating to, so far we have found that Bunbury, Beldon, Connolly, Edgewater and Heathridge are very popular.
We want to make the most of our ten days in Perth and want to visit as many popular areas which Brits are emigrating to as possible.
Any recommendations for suburbs to visit??
Many thanks.
HI GUYS ROCKINGHAM / PORT KENNEDY / SECRET HARBOUR ARE VERY POPULAR
WE ARE LOOKING AT THESE AREAS TOO .THEY ARE VERY CLOSE TO SEA AND HAVE MORE OF A TOWN ENVIROMENT RATHER THAN JUST A SUBURB
HAPPY HOLS - ENJOY !!!
MRS KEILY

Yep the previous replies are true, but do you want to be a brit in Oz living among other brits, or a person that migrates and gets absorbed into the life and culture of a different continent? ie Manchester/liverpool/London or ..... your knew country?

WE ARE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE DONT WANT TO MOVE TO A MINI ENGLAND WANT SOME OZZIES ARIUND TO SHOW US HOW ITS DONE
I agree also why move out to australia and want to be were all the brits like why not just find some where you like and make a new start wether it be round brits or not ??FOR ME its all about finding a better way of life that matters and dosn't concern me who lives round me
hi whitsides firstly dont be fooled thinking life will be better in a burb with brits case in point gosnells which is about as rough as perth gets but is full of brits.your best bet is to think what is important to you.we loved the feel of fremantle but couldnt really afford to be right in freo.we love the coast but coogee was out of the buget too so we found a place half way between the two we are 2 kms from the beach and about 3 from freo and some of the best rock climbing in the metro area is only about 25 kms away.so really think what is important to you and tell me roughly your buget and ill tell you a few places.by the way we live in hamilton hill and im a brickie having worked north south east and west of this place for nearly a year now .ive been a bit shakey once or twice and my OH has been too but loving it at the mo in fact im convinced its the truman show and if i sail out of freo im sure ill hit the edge of the set its that perfect.
