Hi All
I am an electrician with 27 years behind me. I am fully quailified and an NICEIC quailifying manager. I have started my application for oz and would like to know how much work there is in oz, would all my certificates C&G and JIB Diploma be recodnized in oz ?

hi i am an electrician moving to perth im under the understanding that once we are their our qualifications are worthless i need to resit my 2391 written . i ve passed the practical but i dont know wether it is worth doing now or put my time to more useful things like decorating our house or packing our stuff ready to go

Hi, I'am a Spark I've been in Perth WA for about 3 months and sit my exam for my electrcians licence in 2 weeks. There as so much work here it is unreal but getting work without a licence can be a pain. I believe you can now sit the exams in the UK if this is so (check workplace web site I think the new service was due to start in september) do it as they take their time sorting it over here and all your paper work and trade certs mean nothing. My partner is an electrician so have recently spoken to agents about this. Since vetassess took over tra in 1st september there have been a few changes. One good thing is that if vetassess pass you, you automatically then are able to work in australia as an electrician (they must give you a card or something). But this only applies to electrcians no other trades.
