You will not regret it, Perth is lovely, plenty to do and see you will get a feel for it when you are over for 3weeks. People in Perth are friendly and will make you feel very very welcome and help you to settle into your new life in Paradise.
Dont try and see too much........enjoy your holiday and start your adventure when you come over for good.
All the best

Hillarys is a lovely little spot just north of the city and well worth a visit, lots of little shops and cafes, we used to live just a little way away and used to go there often, I miss it alot !

What a brilliant decision you've made!! We've only been here since January and can say that we haven't regretted it for one moment. We spent my daughters birthday at Hilarys took a picnic lunch and stayed until evening and had dinner. Kings park is beautiful, Freo very colonial - we visited the prison for the first time this weekend and it was great (kids liked it too). I have to say that we enjoyed Cavesham Wildlife Park better than Perth Zoo and again we stayed in Whiteman park for the rest of the afternoon.

it sounds fantastic! this might sound a little strange but the relief and pressure we have felt lifted since we actually decided on perth is great we were really getting stressed, we had considered every oz city pretty much and just kept finding one or two reasons to not go to each but didnt have that with perth, it just felt right after we picked it, not too big, clean, looks beautiful and everyone ive spoke to so far is so friendly! were really excited now about the whole process we have a couple of years before applying but i think that it fly in! can anyone recommend some wher to stay for 3 weeks? we,d prefer a house so we get a feel for it instead of a hotel? thanks x

we went to perth last year as my father in law lives there. we are starting to plan our migration now as me and my husband are scared to death of what we are bringing our 3 year old son into in the UK. Its a fab place, the only down side is there arent many pubs! Everything is family focused and people tend to socialise round each others houses rather than down the pub etc. Our main scary factor is making friends, were a very sociable family and not having mates is the part im not looking forward to. we can make friends tho hopefully!!!! Good luck with your hols x

Hi
We are planning a move to Perth early next year so I'd agree you've made an excellent choice!
We are staying at Mullaloo when we come over in October. We got ou holidayr rental through Holiday Lettings - Holiday Rentals, Apartments and Villas, Private Accommodation to Rent Worldwide which has loads of holiday homes to rent in the Perth area. When we visited before in Dec 2005 we stayed in Hillarys which as others have said is a great little place, we also liked Kings Park and did the Freomantle prison tour. The beaches are fantastic and Perths a lovely city. You will see just how nice a place it is when you visit next year-Have Fun!
Mandy x
