Sorry can't answer your questions as we are still stuck here but wanted to say hello to you. We are hoping to get a nice employer to sponsor us to go to Perth. We have friends who lived there and they think it is a wonderful place and very family orientated.

Haven't been much help I know. Good luck with the move.

Hi, have a look at SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site for jobs, Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au for rentals, you may have to book some holiday accommodation for a couple of weeks. Are you looking for furnished or unfurnished? The former is generally a bit expensive - will you be bringing furniture over? Also yellow pages is online too and you may be able to get some companies names to contact. www.aussiemove.com gives you a list of suburbs which can be helpful for knowing where places are.

Good luck with the move

Ali

Have you tried giving Pickfors a call? They take all the pain out of moving and are experts in moving people to oz.

Hi
We are off to Perth (hopefully) in november this year too. My hubbys a plumbing & heating engineer & we also have 2 kids aged 8 and 12. It is quite daunting thinking about the job situation, housing etc over there. We are getting someoene in tomorrow to value our house and it is now all seeming very real and scary! However I am so ready for this move (just hope the house sells quickly) Good luck with everything & hopefully we'll hear more from you on this forum
