August Perth visit & meet ?

Hi folks,
hope all are well. I was just wondering if any body can tell me what kind of weather to expect in Perth in August. Is it still slip, slop, slap weather at this time of year ? Will it be winter woollies at night ? We've got to do our validation before next easter and I've just noticed that the only time I'm on block when the schools are off is August ! shocker ! so, now frantically looking at flights, accommodation, etc. saw some quite nice holiday villas to let in the Butler area, cheap and cheerful, just the ticket. Just what the doctor ordered coz I've got a fortnight in Devon in July first. Hopefully that will give the tan a starter for ten. Flights are a killer though. Any advice would be more than appreciated, especially if it means keeping three ankle biters from moaning ! If any one fancies meeting up for a chinwag and giving us the benefit of your hard earned experience I would gladly get a round in ! looking at flying out on the 3rd. August and staying until the 18th. Tribe includes me, wife, laddie at 11 and two lassies at 7 if anybodies up for a meet.
Tara the noo,
Dek.

Hiya - this will be our first August here so not sure what the weather will be like. At the moment, we've really noticed the change in weather it's very cold in the mornings and at night, but does warm up during the day - I feel like a typical Aussie as I'm always wearing a cardigan now!!! Bring a jumper and a jacket - we went out for dinner last night and my hubby wore long trousers for the first time since we arrived in January.
