im trying to decide if i should join my family in Perth. and i got told from an OZ mate that Perth dont really have a good night life? now thats compared to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Plymouth etc i travel the Uk alot with work (Royal Navy) so i need to know if im going to be bored out my nut on a Sat night in Perth! Beaches BBQ's and sun is all good but you cant beat a good club to dance and spend your hard earned cash??
if anyone can help me make my mind up get in touch and ill buy you a magners when i arrive.
9pm not happy if that the case!! i know where my family live (Butler) its only got like the 1 pub and although the photos look nice, im a young single lad :) i need a bit more than one pub, i will look into it more and if i hear any diff ill let you know cheers
I don't know where you have been but the clubs stay open till 6am that is some off them in Northbridge and Fremantle and there is a club at hillarys that stays open till late. There is a nightclub at burswood casino. I think you would be wrong not to give it ago and there is sure alot of young People in Perth. I grew up in Perth and have done some serious Partying. I think you would really have to come and see for yourself what is one mans meat is another poision. I am sure your family will love it if you would join them also the laid back life style is something else you might like after a night on the tiles...
Anyways I hope you make your own choice.

According to the guide book Carnegies is in the city and open until 3am weekends and 1am weeknights - there are obviously going to be more places too, Freo I believe is really good as well.
i have heard of northbridge! i got told that is one of the better places for a night out, ill be happy if the clubs are open till 6am.
we call a night out in the navy a run ashore and we always say, there is no such thing as a bad run ashore just bad runners. i have had a good night in the worst of places!

Poor Toddy, you just have to get out here and try it for yourself. Butler is the absolute LAST suburb (furtherest out) of Perth your family could have chosen but saying that it is still only 40 -45 mins into city by car or train. Others are right, most suburban life goes on til 12 midnight but they stop serving all meals anywhere about 9pm which is a pain in the ass. But the city goes all night and there are plenty of nightclubs to tickle your bit in !! Just come and check us out and then check out Queensland and surfers you will totally love that place !!
