[quote=andi,allen;95845, been on the net and planned our route , [/QUOTE]

G'day

There's not much to plan in terms of the route. do you follow the coast or take the North west highway. That's your only option.

G'day

Perth is considered "isolated" becuase many people consider that there is nowhere to go. You can drive for days and days and not get "anywhere". The scenery looks the same as it did 100 kms ago which is the same as it was 1,000km ago. In fact the only thing you've seen in the last 8 hours driving was three cars, 1 truck and a petrol station where you stopped to buy petrol at more than twice the price it is in Perth and buy a cold stale hamburger with a warm coke for $15.

Taking off for a few days is no problem, Finding something semi interesting to do for a few days can be a problem for some.

Ps perth is lovely though and with all those amazing beaches to go to after work or at weekend "getting away from it all" isnt so urgent if you get what I mean. I mean here in UK we work and work and do nothing in the evenings except watch tv so every few months we get desperate for a break. I found, when i lived in oz, i was never THAT desperate for a break. Time off work yes, but getting away no
