Govt schools - Your choice is Wanneroo Senior High School and Kinross College - which goes from year 8-10 then students transfer to Mindarie College. Kinross looks like a better school and the students like changing campus in Year 11 - I have a friends whose son is attending there and he loves it.
private schools- Lake Joondalup Baptist College is a lovely school (I've worked there). Fees are $6,800 a year for high school. There is also Mater dei College which would cost about the same. You can check out these schools on http://www.myschool.edu.au/ which will give you some idea of things like attendance rates and how many kids go on to University.

Catchment high school is Wanneroo Senior High School. As Bob says LJBC and Mater Dei are in Joondalup. St Stephens is in Carramar, this is also private. Private schools usually have long waiting lists but if you are interested in private schooling then just give the schools a call to see if they have space, you may be lucky.
