      Moving to Perth on tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We now have our permanent residency visas & are flying out to Perth permanently on tuesday!!! Its been a stressfull few weeks but the packers came in last wednesday so the stuff for the boat has now gone although it does take 84 days to get there!!! I do feel slightly less stressed now that stuff has gone but still got loads to pack as we are allowed 30kg each for the plane. I cant find anything now as most things are packed. Cant wait to chill on plane with a glass of wine!!!

The nerves r definately kicking in now, the kids left school yesterday & while my 5 year old just shrugged it off my 8 year old was very upset. We had our leaving party aswell last night, it was very emotional & my eyes r swollen today from crying!!

Still I know this move is the right thing to do & that our children will have better futures, this is what keeps me going!!

Cant wait to get settled but I know that will take a while. I think the day my husband gets a job is the day when I will finally relax a little. He is a plasterer so if anyone knows of any jobs available (pref north perth) let us know. I will also be working but in a month or so as need to settle the kids in first. I have worked in civil service admin for the last 10 years so I will be going into office work part time, 2 or 3 days a week.

We are hiring a car for the 1st couple of weeks to give us chance to buy a car, we are after a 4 wheel drive so if anyone knows of any for sale let me know.

Anyway I will keep you all informed of our progress so to be continued......................

Good luck with everything. After spending the day at a school fayre and dodging the rain, it made me think we are doing the right thing. Get out while you can and never look back!!

Hi - we will be joining you in Perth, fly on 2 August - what areas you looking at? We need to stay south of river, got temporary house sorted out for arriving. I am hoping that the kids settle in well - they are 3 and 4yrs (she will be 5 by time we fly). Good luck

I got here just over a week ago! It's been great so far, apart from the fact my OH is still in the UK until August. Good luck with the journey.
