Want to move to Oz i have a 2 year old

Hello

This looks like a great wee forumto get advice. I am looking to move to Oz but i really dont know where to start. I have a 2 year old too and it will just be us 2. I am a childminder at the moment but have only been doing it since Aug beofore that i was in customers service for a contruction company.
If anyone can give me any tips advise of anything i would really apriciate it .

Depending on your situation, you may want to check the legalities of taking your 2 year old out of the country you are currently living in. If you didn't check it out already, and there is another parent even remotely in the picture, you'll probably need to get legal advice unless he's willing to give permission.

There are great facilities for kids in Australia, terrific parks and playgroups etc. It is not easy going it alone anywhere, as you may well know, so I would say plan carefully how you will deal with being away from your current support network. It can be done but being a single parent can be pretty lonely at times ... making some contacts here will probably help a lot in easing the transition. There is a demand for childcarers here but others will have better knowledge than I on what qualifications will get you any kind of immigration points. What area will you move to?
