Hi Everyone, I just stumbled accross this site whilst searching for a disney store in south east queensland and cant believe i hadn't found it sooner!!
I moved over here with my hubby in May 2007 and absoloutly hated everything and anything australian until January this year i realised it was my attitude that was preventing me from settling and have taught myself to think of australia in a positive light...There are things obviously that if i could change or avoid i would (like the crap drivers i do miss the courtesy of english drivers lol) I have considered going back home (i gave birth in May just gone and got extremley home sick) but i know that once the hellos got out the way i would hate england even more and would get stuck in the cloudy misserable reality of dowdy wolverhampton so for the future of my child me and my husband are going to make the best of a once in a lifetime oppertunity take it with both hands and make a wonderful australian life for ourselves and for our very own little aussie beach babe!!
Its difficult settling at first because of the diference in lifestyles but think positive and dont compare to england...what country can compare to a country where your family live? Good luck to everyone that is in the process of moving/waiting and even considering going back to the UK

hi i'm also from the west mids not far from where you come from.
i understand how you felt after moving to oz but ithink your right about if you came back, you'd hate it even more than before you went. i think you are doing the right thing in staying there. i have been to oz before & loved it thats why i am going though the process myself, good luck with your plans.

Hey that must surely mean you are a fellow wolves fan? Hubs is the supporter not myself, i dont really follow football, but wolves are doing really well this season which makes a change LOL.
