Hello All
Where to start.
Im Gary, married to Angela (she is an Ozzie) and the lovely clancy Alice all of one day old and a tru blu ozzie.
Been Here coming up 3 years (Ipswich, QLD)
and i love it out here.
Been reading some of the posts and my heart goes out to people who are struggling, we went through tough times and we had family around us!!
Any advice wanted for anyone moving to Brisbane area then i would love to help,
no matter how small.

Hi Gary, welcome and congratulations on your new baby daughter. Shouldn't you be preparing the house for baby's homecoming instead of being on the computer?- only joking!!.

Its been run like a military campaign this baby malarky .four years in the making (IVF) even our dogs and cats know the drill!!

My son is in Mooloolaba - little pic on avatar is my granddaughter making a dash for the sea. Hoping to join them if and when I ever get the visa,

My son married one too! Lovely girl. The fact that she came from the Sunny Coast was a bonus - I love it.
Did you go out on a spouse visa or meet your wife when there?

There are quite a few heading for the Brisbane area who I'm sure will be happy to take you up on your offer of advice although you may be too busy changing nappies!!!

hi Gary,congratulations on the birth of ure daughter. I'm hoping to move out to brisbane in the new year with my 3 kids!! Got a job in Brisbane (i'm a nurse!) sponsership's through so been told to apply for my visa's? Just a bit stuck as to areas to live and travel times? I know it will be busy gettin in and out of the city (wot are the peak times?!) Was advised to go north Brissy by a friend from Toowoomba,but Ipswich and area keeps catching my eye! Need somewhere with schools close and abot 30 to 45 minute drive to city for me..any ideas?! Will be renting, as i do here and gonna be on about $53k b4 tax...d'ya think its do-able as a single mum?!!! Any advice wd be appreciated,have started a thread for this somewhere on here today!! Ta and Enjoy ure new daughter...it's hard work but so worth it !!!
