PE Teacher looking to move to Oz for a year

Hi
I've been a secondary PE teacher for four years now and am looking to move to Australia for a year or two to teach. I've just started researching getting an educational visa but have no clue where would be the best place to go in australia - I'm 25 and want somewhere that has lots of hustle and bustle yet somewhere where I can enjoy 'australia stuff' like beaches etc. Then I don't know how long to leave it before registering with the teaching council of that state as I presume I'll have to do casual work rather than getting employed on a full time basis. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Chloe

Hi Chloe
When we first tried toget our Visa, the government were only sponsoring teachers in SA. We didn't want to go there, we wanted queensland for the climate, so we chose a different route, although I still registered with Queensland Teaching College. I think the best thing to do is to have a look on the websites for the area you want to go to. (I Googled 'teaching in Queensland'). You should find your answers there.
Good luck, let us know how you go on
Anne
