Question move closer to the city or not?

I've been living on the sunshine coast only for four months, but its not for me. I would like to move closer to Brisbane but not to close. Is there any-one who can recommened a family friendly area with good schools. Which makes me ask another question State or Private? Any advise would be gladly recieved

Hi we live in a suburb called warner.Very family friendly ,good schools, affordable housing,40 min to city in rush hour and train lines.

I would recommend living in this suburb..we have enjoyed our time here.

Hiya there are lots of family friendly suburbs around Brisbane ,it all depends what you want as a family. Where you are working may also play a part with the commute distance. Also ,what dont you like about the sunny coast? so you dont jump from the frying pan into the fire, lol

Thanks for the advise every-one. I'm not working at the moment I have 4 children, one of which is only three. My husband's office is based in Brisbane, but he's been working in Tin Can Bay for the last few month and will always travel around Queensland. The only reason I want to move closer to the city is, it's too quite here. I am hoping that Brisbane's suburbs would have more to offer the children, who are 3,8,10 and 12. I was looking more towards the North of the city because my husbands next project will be around the Gymbie area. Ihope this information will help

Albany Creek, Ferny Grove and Enoggra all seem like lovely suburbs with all the ammenties you need and still not a million miles from the city. For a spacious ,semi-rural feel but still to be close to everything look at Samford and Samford Valley,i 'found' this place last year and really fell for it ,i love everything about it and the locals are so friendly. Your husband could also use the back roads to Gympie from here and avoid the traffic jam hell of the highway, lol.
Hope this helps a bit ,at least you can research more places now,lol
