New too.. Help please.

Hi all new to this too. Good luck to everyone like us that are hoping to live the dream in Oz! We lodged application on May 13th have just sent our police certificates and have done our medicals. I checked our progress on line and it says that medical have been receieved and that our status is progressing further can anyone tell me if this means we have passed our medicals or whether they are just being reviewed. Also what is the average waiting time for a decision. We are going for a taster hol to Perth in Aug for three weeks and would love some ideas as to win over my 16 and 13yr old daughters eg.days out etc that'll take their minds off thier "mates" at home. Also (soz feels like I'm writing an essay) could anyone tell me what Mindarie N.Perth is like as this is where we're holidaying and would like to live when or BIG IF we get accepted. Any info would be great Thanks.

Just wanted to say hi and i hope someone answers your questions, in regard to your medicals we waited about 3 weeks and then it says medicals finalised, but we are with an agent aswell

Hi we used an agent and did the meds and police checks beginning nov and got our visa 7/7/08

Hi we started the process last March, and then we submitted our 176 visa on the 26th March 08 so it does feel endless. I think the worst thing is not being able to plan for anything. We put our house up for sale about 1 month ago, and we are doing endless car boot sales (unfortunatley) just to try to get rid of things no longer needed.

I was going to suggest Adventure world and the Rockingham encounters but I don't think they re open until September - you could check out their websites. Hilarys boat harbour is great and they have water slides there which are open all year.

Kings Park is great for sight seeing, also Freo shopping and for lunch/dinner is good. There are free buses in the city to get around.

Sorry can't help with Mindarie as I've never been.

Thanks for help seems like we need to hibernate for the winter and hope we hear something in the spring oh well it'll be worth the wait if we get the OK.
