Hello everyone at Poms in Oz,
My name is Bill Miles. My wife Sandra & I are hoping to emigrate to the Gold Coast in the next couple of years. Our daughter did so 3 years back;has since had a baby boy & is hatching another in Feb09. We have been out twice already & are doing so again in Jan for three months. We are 65 & 63. I am an avid golfer & doting granddad, my wife is a homebird & passionate Nan.
We would like to meet up with any similar ex pat or friendly Ozzy who could talk us through their experiences & throw some light the best ways to integrate into the Ozzy way of life on the Gold Coast. Is anyone interested in getting together in Jan, Feb, March? I would particularly like to chat with fellow golf nuts about likely clubs or courses to join. We will be based in the Robina area.
I have been browsing this web site for months now & have thoroughly enjoyed the humour, experiences & info of members. I'm hooked.

Sorry wouldn't have a clue about the golf, am surprised no-one has been in touch with you yet about a potential meet, I'm sure someone will be in touch with you soon and in the meantime make sure to keep an eye on the Socialising & Get Togethers forum as there always seems to be lots of drinking sessions sorry I mean Meets going on!
