Thanks for that. When i looked on the real estate for Coombabah most places seem to be on a complex, is this the norm?
Are there many Garages around that area or do you think Mark might have to travel nearer the city?

There are an awful lot of complexes, which is good because there are a few townhouses up for rent initially; drive down Pine Ridge Road and there a few signs up! There are houses though too.
There are garages all over as Cal's said, mainly Labrador and Southport probably in this area, but that's only a short drive, 10 minutes Labrador, 20 minutes or so to Southport.

Mark has filled it out on line he just needs to get work references from his employer and previous employer then he has to write the work experience in detail. Had a lot on this week so he hasn't got round to it. Hopefully he'll get it done next week. Don't want to hang around too long as it's going to take long enough as it is.

Thanks Jo it really helps when you're given an idea of what it's like. We keep looking on the map then going onto real estate but you can't tell what an area is like til you get there. Have you been there long?

We've been here ten months. We started off in a holiday flat in Burleigh Heads, and spent two weeks driving around everywhere; best way as Cal's said to find your bearings.

also remember depending on when you arrive the kids may be on school holidays so gives you chance to drive around and see whats what,every 2 month they sem to get a couple of weeks off and they finish early december until late januray for the big summer hols,We arrived noember found an area and rental by the end of november and approached the school who said keep em home til the new term in january.It worked well because he then had chance to meet other kids on the estate so he didnt start school knowing noone ,

Do most schools usually have places or is it like here you have to shop around and take whats available. Just thinking we'll find an area we like and there wont be any places at the local school.
