Hey, I'm new here.

I'm 25 and have lived in the U.K. all of my life. I've just got a permanant job in Melbourne (which should be confirmed in the next week or so), and will be moving down there in a few months time!

Am looking forward to it; very excited, but also perhaps a bit nervous.

Hi Debbie,

I work in publishing, and have done for the past few years. Thankfully the company say they'll sort out all of the visa issues so I don't have to worry about any of that. I've got some friends there already, which I'm sure will help as well.

So much to do in the meantime though - I've got to sell or get rid of most of my stuff and prepare for a completely new life. Am very much looking forward to it though

Sounds like your going on a 457 then, thats half the battle then if they are sorting out visas etc as well as saving you some money.

Thanks Debbie - that's very kind of you. I don't expect there to be any problems, but will look into everything properly once I've received the official job offer.

Not sure where we are moving to yet, early days for us. All depends on where OH gets a job, he is in IT.
