I need support to keep me sane
Hi

I'm Tracy and I'm married with two children (3 year old boy and 9 month old girl).

We submitted our visa application on 3rd June online but as yet have not heard anything even though the fee has been taken. We did receive emails confirming receipt of the documents I emailed but that's all. We're at the beginning of that long and winding road!!!!!!

Going completely insane as I am not the most patient person. Does anyone know how long it roughly takes to get a case officer assigned. Not sure if that is the next stage or whether someone else contacts you to let you know when the police checks and meds are required. Any advice welcome.

We would like to move to Brisbane...any suggestions regarding location? Want a family welcome environment where we can easily meet new friends.

Hi Tracy and welcome to PIO i know what you are saying i'm not the most patient person ever, but going by other peoples threads you might be in for a long wait. We submitted our 176 visa at the end of March we have had medicals finalised, but we aren't having police checks done yet cause the wait seems to be around 6-8 months, Where about in Staffordshire are you??

We're from Dosthill near Tamworth. Love the area but love Oz more!!! We went there on honeymoon in 2004. We started off in Cairns, then went to Surfer's Paradise and finished in Sydney. Have been wanting to go back ever since.

Tracy i'm sure you will get there just be patient, its nice that you've been able to go to Oz at least you have some idea on what to expect, what job are you hoping to do once you are there??
