Hello Newbie from Mcr, UK
Hello All,

My name's Catherine, I'm completely new to the site. Presently live in Manchester in the UK, am coming over to Brisbane for 6 months in September. Have a job as am taking part in a work exchange programme with my company. Am sure I will be posting loads of questions as I'm clueless as to what to do and where to go when out there. Really looking forward to spending some time out in Oz.
My fiance is hopefully coming out to spend three weeks with me at Christmas, if we like it and can cope without friends and family we may stay
Look forward to reading about everyone's experiences on he site.

Hi Cath,

I'm also living in Manchester at the moment and I'm moving out to Oz in November, I plan to travel up the east coast but intend to settle in sydney for xmas and new year. Where abouts in Manchester do you live? May be worth meeting up for a chat and sharing travel tips before you leave??? I'm currently in didsbury.

Thanks for all the nice messages everyone. AndThomp83 I'm in Droylsden, East Manchester, would be nice to meet up and swap tips, though I haven't got many yet. Yes, some poor person has to take my place for 6 months, but Manchester's not that bad. The engineer taking my place is coming from Sydney I think.
