PIO newby!
Hi all,

I have finally decided to take the plunge and have signed with migration lawyers this week!! Currently putting together ACS documents. Really looking forward to getting through the whole process and making my way to Oz, hopefully Queensland.

I plan to go over by myself on a 175 skilled visa. I am wondering how many more like me are applying? Would love to hear from anyone in similar circumstances either currently applying or those that have made the move!

Welcome to PIO. There are lots of us on here who have gone through/or are going through the ACS process, so you'll get lots of support. Actually it is usually the wives who go one here, (IT Wags as we like to be known - LOL). The husbands are to busy doing their ACS applications!!!

Where are you heading and what do you do?

Good to hear I am not alone!

Hopefully, the ACS will not be too complicated. I just need to get 2 employee references. Famous last words!!

I am hopefully headed toward Brisbane. Spent some time there a few weeks back whilst on holiday and seems like a really great place to live. Would love to live further up North, but not sure what the employment opportunities are like; I work with Siebel. Certainly wont hurt to look!

Hiya welcome to poms we came on a 136 the old 175 ,the visa application and wait was very stressful but now we are here ,it was certaily worth it!! Queensland is gorgous ,the aussies are so friendly and although its a bit chilly at night at the moment its still shorts and teeshirts during the day ,good luck with everything ,what trade are you coming on?
