WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
Hi guys!! We have been reading posts for a while on this forum and think it's great!! SO we've decided to come on board!
We are the Dobbs Family from Barton-Le-Clay in Bedfordshire. We have been contemplating a move to Oz for ages and have now plucked up the courage to 'go for it'!
We are still very apprehensive and I'm still not sure if I will be able to cope with the emotional side of things. BUT we have 3 little girls - 7, 5 and 3 and we all want a change of lifestyle and a real adventure. We are hoping that chatting to people on this forum will help to convince us we are making the right decision!!
Roll on the application!!
Look forward to hearing your stories!
Warm Regards,
Caroline (39 )primary school teacher, Mark (36) fire safety adviser, Caitlin( 7), Eleanor (5) and Lydia (3)

My Mood:
Hiya welcome to poms in oz ,my little one was 2 when we moved here and my son 8 ,they settled much easier than i imagined and i can honestly say i worried for them more than they worried for themselves, lol. I was surprised how soon my daughter forgot the uk ,the house ,the friends and family she saw on a daily basis etc ,,all she remembers is the stuff we talk about.
Web Cams are a great leaving present for parents etc and it enables them to stay in touch and still see the kids.Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things ive ever had to do in life but now nearly 2 years down the line i wouldnt change a thing ,good luck with everything
