What's it like in australia??

Hello,
My mum and dad are talking about moving to Australia but I'm really nervous! I'm only 9 and I was just wondering if any of you can tell me what it is like on the Gold Coast?
Can you also tell me what the schools are like , what sort of things are there to do because I like to play out all the time and you can't here in Leeds because it is always raining !! What is the weather like over there all year? Does it rain and is it windy. Are there any young people who will talk to me?

Hello Erika
The weather in Queensland is hot most of the year, If you like sport and playing out you will fit in just fine. You are lucky moving to the Gold Coast as they have movie World, sea world, wet and wild and i think its wonderland? i cant help you out with schools but you will find it very easy to make friends as most people are very friendly. coming from England you should have lots to talk about
Hope this helps
Geoffrey

Hi hyper chick, Whilst us old wrinkles are happy to help you, you might be better asking this question in the "younger ones" section. If you go to the home page and look down the left hand side at all the forum headings you will find "younger ones" near the bottom.

Good luck, Im sure mum and dad will make the best decision for you all in the end. Australia is very outdoors type living, Im sure you will love it.

Dont worry about Earlswood he is a very nice man he just has a strange sence of humor.

If you do a google search on things for kids to do in the gold coast it wil come up with loads of cool things to do
