WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
hello all, we are julie and mel, new to forum , we have two children 6 and10, hoping to end up in brisbane. Does anyone else feel physicaly sick ?? we have just started with agent and paid deposit, it all seems very real, instead of being just a dream. Can't stop going to the loo. Am i mad or does everyone feel like this??????
I hear you - except I'm on the cust of sending off my forms - they are on the coffee table but I'm having dilemmas over it being the right decision or not. We would love to relocate to Brissy but with our skills (other half is an illustrator) we are likely to only be sponsored by South Australia. Even if queensland wanted us we'd have to live in 'regional' Oz so out in the sticks... oh the dilemmas...
Good luck - I'm sure the nerves will wear off! I'm determined to decide this weekend and get applications underway.... eek!
Hi there!!
MY OH is still exactly the same and we are hoping to go early Aug!! We got our visas last Sept - eems ages ago now.
Now the fun will begin for you! The visa process took quite a long time so you should have time to get used to the idea!
Good luck and enjoy the day it all comes together!!

Finally happy and off to the Gold Coast
Hi
Ahhh Bless you! I know how you are feeling. I had sleepless nights, and butterflies all the way through the process but its honestly worth it when you get here. Its all part & parcel of making this life changing move and lets face it you'd be quite abnormal not to feel worried. You'll be fine just get in a bulk load of rescue remedy or failing that red wine-lol x

Yep, familiar here too! The day we left the UK was the worst; couldn't eat anything, and was physically sick outside my mother in laws house (discretely though, not all over the drive or anything ).

Thought it was just me and that maybe we were making the wrong decision, but reading the posts below feel reassured.
We are similar agent appointed last weekend. And I just feel 'flat' at the moment ... kids both crying last night, youngest worried about snakes, spiders, the heat, the cats .....eldest, started after her, she had always been v positive about it, but think her sisters insecurities set her off.
Hi,
I think you will find that the sicky feeling gradually wears off, then starts again the closer you get to actually leaving. Feeling a bit like that now because we leave in 6 weeks.
hi guys, thanks for all your posts, made me feel loads better, especially when we have had tears from my 10 year old daughter already, i totally know this is the right thing to do, its just really really scary, i am sure i will start to settle down, cos its a long way off yet, thank you once more for listening to me rattle on , julie and mel.
