Hello all
Myself,wife and 2 kids are going through the process of the big move, we are looking at medicals 3rd June, already had the police checks and sent off.
Going for the state sponsored residency of WA and guess what? we havent even been to Oz before but the mrs and me are tired of life in UK and want the best for the kids future.
We are looking as lots of people are here to move to the Perth area, in Particular Joondalup (if i pass the medical of course), we have an old family friend that lives there and a cousin who lives all the way over Sydney (apparrently its not a short journey to Sydney?).
As im sure you are all aware its been a slog getting all the paperwork done, contacting old employers its tough to remember if you left on a good note or not? but now we can see a light at the end of a very long tunnel.
So i guess this my introduction to the site, and i hope there are people out there who will suppress any fears we have about the big move!!
Hi welcome! We have been in Perth since Feb this year. We live in Joondalup area. Feeling apprehensive is normal, its a big decision to make. We are loving it here, its very different but thats why we came. We are adapting to ozzie life and things are beginning to feel 'normal'. It was like being on holiday the first few weeks. We have our moments but on the whole, for us life ( quality ) is improving. Good luck!
