Talking G'day poms!
Hi guys, i've been directed here by a friend of mine as i'm in the early stages of making the BIG MOVE SOUTH!

I currently work in the rail industry and i'm applying for maintenance jobs based in Perth.
Why Perth? I've not been to Oz but I have family on the eastern side and many friends have travelled the great country and the general concensus is that Perth is the city of choice to live in.


As I've already said, it's in the ealry stage ie. CV with companies and awaiting interviews. The current climate looks good for rail transport employees, hence my optimism!!!

I look forward to hearing all your views on this great adventure that sooooo many of you have undertaken.

Welcome t POI ! Hope you can get all the answers you want on here. I lived in Perth for 12 months in 1981 and loved it but I prefer the eastern states and we are hoping to go to Melbourne next March. Just got our visas so have to sell the house now!
