Im a newbie...Hi!!

Hello to everyone,
I thought it was about time to become a member and say Hi to everyone.

My name is Anna age 29 and my OH is called Andy nearly 30! we are looking at emigrating somewhere in Melbourne...not exactly sure yet till we are over.
We will be staying with a friend till we find somewhere to rent!

We are up to the medical stage which we are just figuring out at the moment so not sure how long it will take from here till we actually get the 'YES' so fingers crossed...Does anyone have a rough idea how long the process takes from this point?? all we have to do after the medical is the police check I think!

Its the OH who is getting the Visa he is a Nurse, I am at the moment trying to get into the Police Force and I am nearly there which will hopefully help with getting into the Police in Melbourne.

So fingers crossed with everything and Good Luck to everyone else!

Hi,

Wanted to welcome you to PIO. Can't answer your questions regading your jobs but in terms of how long visa's are taking it really depends on the type of visa you are applying for. Having said that it is a case of "how long is a piece of string" - very frustrating the waiting but at least you won't be alone as we are all in the same boat. Wishing you lots of luck with your visa.

Welcome to PIO, we are in a similiar position to yourselves we have just had medicals done, and we shall wait for a week or two before we have police checks. We are hoping to go to Victoria, I am an hairdresser.

hi there.

I'm a newbie also. so hi to all.

when are medicals were done and sent off on the 2nd april, we got are grant letter on the 12th may and just got are passports back today with are visas stuck in ....

so we are happy.

and so it was about 5 weeks for us at that stage.

TaniaColin, where abouts are you looking at going in Victoria? we are looking at the outskirts of melbourne but we keep changing our minds!! guess once we are there we will make our minds once we have had chance to visit places.

Oh im so excited, i just cant sit still its been a long process but everyday is a step closer!!
