Hi There,
We Have Our Heart Set On Emigrating To Oz, Myself And My Partner Both 37 And Our 2 Young Kids But Dont Know Much About Anything At The Mo. Chuffed To Bits To Find This Website!
We Are Aware There Is A Point System We Need To Do 1st, But Does This Cost Anything And How Do We Go About It?? Can We Do It Online Or Do We Need To Pay Agency? I Know It Can Cost Alot To Emigrate But We Havent A Clue How Much To Expect.
If Anybody Can Give Us A Rough Idea We Will Be Soooo Grateful
Please Help!!

Hi and welcome to PIO. Probably a good place to start is to fill a free assessment from one of the recommend agents on here eg Go Matilda, Thinking Australia or 1st Contact. There are many more that people recommend but you don't need to do a free assessment for them all. These free assessments will give you a rough idea as to which visa will be most suited to and mostly importantly costs.

We are going with Go Matilda, and it will cost us around the 4k mark for 2 adults and 2 kids. This includes agents fee, skill assessment, medicals and police checks and the all important visa fee.

Hi to you and welcome to PIO.
First thing you need to find out is if yours or Oh skills are in demand for Oz - what do you both do? Only that way can you then look into the possibility of emigrating really.
Check out Department of Immigration and Citizenship for the list of occupations in demand; if you can determine your skills are needed in Oz, then (providing you have enough points to qualify) you must have your skills assessed by the relevant authority before you are able to submit a visa application.
As Mandisfam suggests, get in touch with a few agents who offer a 15-20 min chat over the phone - they will be able to give you much more info and advise on your options.
All in all, our costs for our agent including skills assessment, police checks, meds, etc totals around £3500.

Just wanted to welcome you to PIO. I agree with Mandisfam great place to start is with one of the agent she suggests. We are a family of 5 and it has cost us a similar amount to Mandisfam so think that is probably a good starting point.

I think someone posted the averages for a family of 4 with agent meds vetassas etc flights and removals at about £6,000 to £8,000

Hi and welcome to PIO we have used Go-Matilda and found them to be very good. I think we have spent roughly £3,000 on TRA applications, visas and medicals (6 of us). Good luck with your application.
