*wails* I want to go now!!!

Hi :) I'm the ever impatient and frustrated Fiona (mum of 3) who wants to emigrate right now!! Sadly we have to wait another 2 years before we can apply - need to finish my degree and have promised the middle child she can go skiing with the school in April 2010 - and I'm terrified that the government will pull the interdependency visas before then, Rudd isn't exactly gay friendly.

We're headed to the Hunter Valley (Raymond Terrace to be precise) to be with family, my inlaws live in Hinton - we were there last Christmas and decided it was def Raymond Terrace rather than Maitland we wanted and we're going out again at Easter to try and decide on the schools and hopefully which area.

Very excited, very frustrated and also more than a little bit scared!!

Don't think that is likely - that they will pull inter dependency - it has been there for a while. We had to wait for same sex defacto to come in last September before we could apply and we are here now. Rudd is OK - way better than Howard - doesn't want to rock the boat and I would be astonished if there was such a radical u turn.

Good luck!

I don't think that there is a likelihood of the interdependency visa being withdrawn. In any event, we found that the initial approval was granted very quickly, so it is in your own best interests to apply ASAP, the idea of them withdrawing the visa from people that have been granted provisionally is perverse.
