Hi Jackie
Pleased to help - we were in the same situation except that we were returning to Australia from Spain after a long absence and we were delighted that we had found John Mason, because we had an enormous amount of stuff to ship and they were so easy to deal with.
As for comparing Spain to Melbourne - well we love Spain but we are happy to be back in Melbourne. Our lifestyle now is from choice completely different to our lives in Spain. We now live in a quiet suburb as opposed to the frantic Costa del Sol atmosphere. Having said that, there is no shortage of things to do or see in Melbourne. As you probably know, Melbourne is a foody capital and the latte society is in full swing. Once again we note that the city has been voted one of the best cities in the world to live in so it is as always "horses for courses". An added bonus - the Australians are very friendly and welcoming.
