New To PIO

Hi to everybody at PIO,

We are a family of 4 hopefully going to emigrate to Brisbane in 2009. I'm Kim (25) and the OH is Mark (33), we have 2 kids, Bethany (8) and James (13 month).

Mark is a network engineer so we are trying to apply for a skilled independant visa. We are just in the middle of putting all the paperwork together for the ACS skills assesment to send off this week - fingers crossed we will pass!

We have just read the thread on the Lancashire meet as we live in Burnley, we were going to attend but unfortunately we are away on a family holiday. Hopefully there will be another one soon.

We have lots of questions but for now I thought it best just introducing ourselves for now.

Hi Welcome to the site, you will find it very useful on pomsinoz,

We are also going to Brisbane in Aug/sept just waiting to sell house and we will be off.

We applied on a skilled independant visa, good luck

any questions just ask, people are always to help where they can.

Welcome to PIO. Good luck with the ACS assessment , my OH is also a network engineer and has been through the assessment so know how much paperwork is involved. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi and thanks to everybody for the nice welcomes!

We are from Rosegrove in Burnley, which is near Padiham. We are hoping to move to Brisbane but where, we are not quite sure. We both may end up working in the CBD and don't want to be commuting any longer than 45mins. My OH commutes over 1 hr to work and does not get back home until 7pm, I am hoping that will change when we get to OZ.
