Hi Shell,
No i have never been either, but like you have researched it loads and it looks like theres plenty to see and do there. I originally wanted to go to Perth as i have got an Aunty that lives there, but I like the fact that Brisbane is greener. I dont like the idea of it getting dark early either, i was kind of hoping for warm evenings round the pool! I know my Aunty goes to bed early and gets up at the crack of dawn! Its going to take some adjusting to in our house as we all love our beds!

I know how you feel, i love my house and dont want to give it up unless we are definately going, the trouble is i spoke to my agent again today and she said if the paperwork is done properly, the visa could be through in 6 weeks! that doesnt give us long to sell, and we wont be able to go before we do. She did say that if it was her, she would wait until the visa had arrived before trying to sell. Whereabouts will you be heading to? are you hoping to live near your brother?i have been looking at The gold coast area, and love the look of Jacobs well, and Hope Island.The trouble is i always pick the most expensive houses! Still dreaming at the moment but fingers crossed i will make it to that barbi and return the favour!!

Yeah, I've looked at Hope Island and it is expensive! My brother is in Robina, but to be honest although we would love to be nearby as long as we are in Australia I don't mind if it's not next door! Robina is raved about. From what I can gather most people say that it's hard to find an area that is naff on the Gold Coast. I think that what the Australians regard 'rough areas' we would consider lovely! Apparently it's altogether cleaner and people have more respect for public areas. That's probably true for other areas too.

6 weeks is quick! Good luck then. Do keep posting on here and especially when you get the visas.

Hi Lou, you must be really excited now! Have you had a stressfull year waiting? I wish i was in your shoes,but it seems a long way off at the moment.Have u visited the sunshine coast before? i dont think it matters where you go it all looks fab,
