Hi to all- I've no idea if this is in the right place, or if will even work, but here goes!!
This is our first time on this forum, and isn't it great. Introductions...my name is Claire and i'm a nurse. My hubby, John is a NEBOSH qualified health and safety advisor/surveyor. We have 3 children-William 11yrs, Charlotte 9yrs and not forgetting our little angel Gracie aged 5yrs!!(mind you looks can be sooo deceptive!!)
We have been looking into emmigrating for quite some time now, and have looked at nz aswell as australia. They both have so much to offer, and we are so confused. I think we are heading more towards aus now, but everything looks so daunting!!
We are so undecided on which area to concentrate on, also as to whether we should use an agent to help us through it, and if so any suggestions? What should our next step be??? should i send off my cv to some health boards, or recruitment agencies-my mind is in overdrive at the moment!, and also do i need to go through all the registration process before i even do any of that???
John is wondering how easy it would be for him to get work. He has also just completed the nebosh trade certificate in construction health and safety as well as already having the general certificate in h & s. He would very much to concentrate on the construction side of things, but is unsure about the opportunities he would have open to him.
I have been a qualified nurse since 93, and worked on surgical wards, paediatrics and my last position was as a school nurse in charge of a medical centre in a girls independant boarding school. I have had a break for 18 months, and have just applied for some jobs, one of which i have an interview for on monday-aaargh!!! So i was wondering whether i would be ok in finding a job in aus???
So sorry for all the questions, we are stressing so much, what with the house on the market, and now wondering if we would even be eligible to migrate to aus, and if so how best to go about it.
Anyway if anyone has any suggestions on any of the ramblings above i really would be sooo grateful.
Many many thanks
Claire & co x
