WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
Just a quick introduction to all PIO members. We (Me, wife and 2 kids) emigrated from the UK on the 1 Jan this year and found our way down to this lovely part of Victoria..the Mornington Peninsula. It's a shame that I have only recently become aware of this site because if you are anything like us, we had a thousand and one unanswered questions prior to moving out here - this site is just so informative! However, if anyone has any questions about this region, please don't hesitate to ask..if I can't answer them, my brother has been is Oz for 20 years, so I'm sure that I can find the answer for you.
PS - I'm working Full Time for Westpac as a Home Finance Manager (essentially a mortgage / home loan specialist), so if any of you guys need advice on the house buying process in Aus, please don't hesitate to shout.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Wow! Hello, what a positive post to read.
Me and my fiancee are from Lancashire, and are considering moving to Australia so I'm sure we'll be asking you LOADS of questions! :)

Mornington
Hi There,
I just noticed your thread. We are hoping to move to Oz, just in the thinking stage at the moment, but have decided to go on holiday to Melbourne next May (hopefully). I like the look of Mornington, are there many good villas to rent there, or can you point me in the right direction as to where to stay in your area. (Not too expensive)?
What is Mornington like? Is it fairly near to Melbourne itself?

Already spoken to immigration consultant and have enough points, now wondering if it would be easy to do it ourselves or sign up with one.

Hi Alison
It's the same here but he is helpful when it comes to the internet, had a look at the forms for the australian nmc looks pretty straight forward, just gathering all the info that they need. Thinking of perth because we have some reatives there but we would try any where coz when your from wigan you learn not to be fussy. By the way whats TRA thingy told you we are just starting.
