New to site - help with the English Test pls

Hi there

Just wondering if my partner and me have to take the English test? It states we do and then it states if we have had secondary education in England we don't, I'm confused! We are applying for a skilled independent visa.

Advice would be much appreciated

What country are you from and what passport do you hold

...and how old the main visa applicant is...if you're over 40 you lose points and my OH had to sit the test for that reason...I'm sure he'd be willing to help with any questions re the IELTS test if you PM us...

We are both British and hold British passports. My OH is 35.

I forgot to introduce us on the last post.

I'm Nic and my other half is Neil. We are just starting to look at what we need to get together to apply as I don't think we can actually apply for the visa until December 08 as we have to be living together for a year.

I maybe wrong but think you have to do no English test.

Bit of luck really as they would have turned me down.
