Question coffs harbour

This is the first time I've done this so I apologise if its all over the place. My family and I, hubby and 2 kids, are hoping to move to oz asap. We have not started anything yet as we have just decided it is what we want. We've been looking into it for about 2 years now but there's so much to find out. We have looked at a few places on the internet and Coffs Harbour looks great. Not sure though whether it is a holiday place rather than somewhere to live. Any advice would be great.

Although I am based on the Gold Coast, I have had to travel to Coffs Harbour a few times for work in the past 7 years, and personally I think Coffs is a beautiful place. It is a lovely elevated area overlooking the ocean, with beautiful mountains and forests tucked in behind. The area is lush and green, has a lovely mild climate and it really is a pretty place in northern NSW. It is a place I would be happy to live and work in, that's for sure.
As far as shops and services go, I think it has everything you would need, and to me it is one of those rare places that has not been over-developed or over populated, considering it is so close to the beach.
I think you will really like Coffs and I think it could easily be one of those places you could call home for life.

Good luck with your move there!
Mr YG.

Thanks for the info, it does sound great. Hopefully we'll be going for a look later this year and I'll be able to see for myself. Thanks again.

have you hit the "search" button on PIO and put in Coffs Harbour? you'll find a few threads about it.

it's beautiful, we're in Brisbane purely for work reasons, but I'd love to retire to Coffs. stunning rolling green hills, beaut beaches and not too busy. shopping not teriffic to clothes compared to UK but it's got most shops you'd need. It'd be a wonderful lifestyle place to go, it has a big town feel rather than city feel. it's quite spread out though so doesnt have a real heart to it. bellingen, nearby, is however more soulful, rural and has a great market.
hope that is of some help!
Susie.
