WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Have been reading lots on this site over the past week and have decided to join.
We have not officially decided to come to Oz (hubby been nagging since 2001 after we both went there travelling and loved it - but I wasnt so sure about leaving family and friends, but since his latest nag my views have changed, tho I havent mentioned to him yet! dont want to feel pressured)
Anyway we have a meeting with a migration person this Tuesday - just to have a chat - and see what we think then.
We have 2 wee girls 4yrs and 10mths and think it would be great for them.
Fed up of the older one staring out of the window saying will it stop raining so I can play in the garden!
God Im babbling now.
Anyway made my introduction, so there ye go.

Hiya welcome to poms in oz ,,lots of people have the dilema of leaving friends and family ,have a search through the general dilema threads and it will give you an idea,,good luck with the agent!
Cal x
Hello and Welcome, hope the meeting with the agent goes well. As Cal says it is difficult leaving family and friends and it's something you have to face (and it's what makes some people return). But ... You'll never know if you never go and if you don't like it then you'll still be richer for the experience.

I only joined this site a few days ago and have found it REALLY helpfull / Friendly / and reassuring!
I am 31, married to Lee (also 31 ) and we have Ethan who was 6 last week. I am a nursing sister, hubby a project manager and Ethan is a lovabe rogue!!
We haven't made a decision yet.........Well Lee hasn't! I have family in Perth ( Gran, Aunty, Uncle, 3 cousins). I always said that I would emigrate once I had finished my nurse training.....But I met Lee.....So things have been put on hold! We are off to the Expo at Leeds next Saturday and I am hoping that we will get some answers to our questions.
So, would be great to keep in touch regarding which path we decide to follow!!!
