Wow, PomsinOZ, not quite me: more KrautinPomsLandbutsooninOz. But I thought after 6 years in London, hey, you might tolerate me in a Brits forum (just…). And in comparison, my fellow countrymen’s Australia forum is rather, errmm, lets not talk about it… This forum is great!
I’m a transport planner and have recently accepted an offer in Sydney. As my employer sponsors me I can come over on a 457 visa. Currently, meds are on their way to Oz and hopefully, by late May, so am I. Just in time for an Aussie winter, coming out of a wet and windy London winter.

At the moment, I am trying to find out where to live in Sydney, what to do, what to see etc. My last visit to Sydney is about 18 years ago so one or two things might have changed… I will post some questions about Sydney suburbs, as they surely will arise, in the appropriate sub-forums.
