A little about me.....Well theres my wife and 4 kids (yes i must be mad
) and we live in the uk
After much deliberation we have decided that the big trek downunder is for us. Our problem however is a common one being that our jobs are not on the trade skills list so am unsure as to how to proceed.
I have worked in the soft drinks and brewery industry for 15yrs, mainly doing lab/qa work, I know Austalia isnt short of breweries so maybe i should be going the sponsored visa route if i can get a job in one, but what would be the best way to find out about this line of work? Are there any recruitment agencies specialising in this area?
My hobby and passion is in web design but am self taught with no quals so would imagine this is a dead end before I start although I would be willing to study to get quals if i knew what area of IT was sought after.
My wife was a qulaified hairdresser about 10yrs ago but swears thats a big no no area.
She has just been working in the local restaurant as a waitress for 2 years since taking 10 yrs out to raise our kids, to which she has done an excelllent job!
Our kids are 6, 8, 9 and 11 so really want to make the move before they start putting down roots and with my 42nd birthday at the end of this yr, so time is of the essence.
We want to relocate for a better lifestyle, more time with the kids, less stress ,and o yes someone said the weather might be better lol
Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions or just want to say hi, we would love to hear from you.
