We are from Devon, so I guess the westcountry will be losing some more poms! We are just at the end of the visa process, fingers crossed may get visa next month. My hubby went to the expo and found it very interesting. We started our visa app after he went so must have been something there that spurred him on.

The Expo is April 12th - 13th Opportunities Australia - EXP08 Im right at the begining of my journey and just gathering as much info as I can before I decide to go the Agent route or Apply by self so it should be good, I cant get any more excited than I am at the mo, it's funny once your mind is made up nothing else seems to matter.

Glad to see some more people from the south west, was just looking at a post suggesting that more people migrate from Devon than anywhere else, wierd as I thought everybody was moving into the southwest, but hay ive just moved from North Devon

Yes I thought the westcountry was becoming ever more popular, maybe thats why those already here are looking to move!!! Actually we love it here, and if we end up staying in the UK then wouldn't live anywhere else now. Unlikely though as we like you can't wait to make the move.
It was when we were just starting the process that Mike went to the expo in london and its from that he decided an agent was the way to go. To be honest I think its down to personal choice, but if you do it yourselves you will save money, but with an agent you get peace of mind that it is all checked.
Where in Oz are you thinking of?
