need help

I have 9 yrs experience as a floor fitter but no qualifications. I need someone to sponsor me, OH, and 4 children. I have my own tools but unsure of what type of visa to go for, as the 457 seems a bit daunting. Does anyone have any ideas what the RSMS visa is like

Try looking up Alan collett on here he is the managing director of go matilda.

He was looking for trades to get their skill assessed in Australia it was something they were working on with a college there i'm sure carpet fitter was on the list.

Alternatively look up Donovan another member her husband is a carpet fitter in Brisbane he may be able to help send them a pm. (private message)

hope it helps

are you self employed ?
you need to provide evidence that you have been doing the job, easy if you are employed by someone else.
You could contact companies directly and ask if they are recruiting, ask the matilda guy as well though
457 is the easiest way of doing it though I think

Please send me an email: alan - at gomatilda - dot - com

We have a link into an organisation that is able to carry out an assessment of your existing competencies as a floor finisher leading to a workplace assessment and (all being well) what is called an AQF Certificate III.

The AQF Cert III:

1. Allows you to apply for a migration skills assessment under Trades Recognition Australia's Skill Pathway E (this assessment is required for a general skilled visa application), and

2. Is recognised by Australian employers, thereby increasing your employment opportunities.

Best regards.
