just joined thought i would say hi

im a uk based paramedic and looking to join QAS i am applying within the next 6 weeks and really hope i get in is there any others in the same situation or already in the service

Just joined site today.

I too work for the ambulance service and have applied to the WA ambulance service, but they are now restricting their overseas recruitment to limited no's. but fingers crossed, i stand as much chance as anyone else. Have heard though that the medical (for employment, not immigration) is really tough and well, too be honest, i'm pretty unfit!!

Every State is different so i can't speak for QAS, and as I'm an EMT my choices are limited. I do know of a couple of collegues who have gone over to QAS, one seems really happy although wife still unsettled and the other only just left a couple of weeks ago.

Are you hoping for sponsorship from the ambulance service? Whereabout in UK are you?
