Where to live

May be a daft question, but how on earth are you suposed to decided which area in Australia to settle.

I suppose it all depends on where work will take you or if you already have family in Oz.
Being a nurse, I could go anywhere in Oz but we have opted to go to Victoria as my family are based there.

As Gill said - where are you going to get a job? You may fancy far north Queensland but if you are a fashion designer your opportunities are going to be somwhat limited!

Do you want it hot and muggy all the time or would you like definite seasons? Do you love the cold? Are you going to spend your life on a beach or does sand do nasty things to your toenails? Are you a city girl or a country girl?

Then come for a holiday and have a quick look around because what you think of as hot may not be quite the HOT that you get, or the country towns you fancy might be boring as b*tsh*t.
