WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
I have been reading this forum for months and have even posted some images of my hoilday in oz last year...
So who are we.....
My hub is 38 and a carpenter, im 31 and full time mum,
Children boy aged 9 and girl aged 4...Dalmatian aged 5 ......
and MAYbe 2 cats (not sure about them yet, breaks my heart to leave them but cost is huge to take them)
We are just in the process of raising funds to start our visa process
(fingers crossed in next 2 weeks)
We have had one interview with an agent and have been told we will beable to go for a 175 visa....
As we are new to this it all seems very daunting !!
We are also in the process of getting our house ready for sale..
Hoping to sell it as like everyone as soon as then we plan to move in with mother in law
As we plan to try and sell the house before visa goes though we plan to get rid of everything thats broken or not been used for 12mths, apart from photos ect...
I am going though so many feeling already as we have been thinking about this for about 4 years now and my main concern is taking children away from family....
Ok and i could talk forever so i'll stop there....
Good luck to all and gz to those who have passed !!

Thanks for the welcome....
I thought you couldnt ship fridge's ect?
What else do you wish you had brought with you..
We plan to bring kids beds and dinning room table as its very new and if it doesn't fit in doors im sure it would make great bbq area, we dont really have much other big stuff to bring as our house has built in wardrobes and cuboards and im making this an ideal time to ditch things we never should have kept this long !!!! lol..
What about garden tools? did anyone take them or am i getting carried away now?
Hard to know how much is to much and how much would be missed..

Wishing you all the best with the visa process - you will find loads of helpful people on this site so don't be too daunted by it all - we are all in the same boat. Good Luck and welcome to PIO.
