We done ours by ourselves , it cost $2060 which was about £900 at the time . The TRA (which was the hardest part) was i think $300 . Obviously it all depends on your circumstances i.e how complicated your application is , but it really is easy to DIY as you can download all forms / booklets off the immi website ( DIAC ) . Good luck in your application anyway + i hope all goes well.

We sacked our old agent Bureau Migration or some thing like that after they ripped us off. Then instructed Visa Bureau. They are the dogs... The fee's for applications, Main application, vetassess, Meds, Police checks etc cannot be avoided. We are only paying 1800 quid for all their help, support etc which makes my life alot easier as we are really busy... Money well spent. If you have a lot of time on your hands then like others have said you can go it alone... If you make a mistake though it could be costly both financially and timewise.... Another reason why i used this agent..

Hi There,

We are using Go Matilda. They advised us to budget £3.5k for everything. Been doing some calcs today and reckon it will probably be about £3.7k so your figure is not far off the mark.

You could shop around and see what other agents are quoting. Prices do vary as do services on offer. Some offer more support on arrival in Oz for example. Some quote a fixed fee for their services whereas with others you pay just for what services you use, i.e., you can choose to do more of the work yourself.

Alternatively you can do it all yourself and save a small fortune. If you case is straight-forward and time is on your side that's fine.

Cheers,

Tom
