We're new to this forum thing so not sure if we're doing it right.
I'm kev and I'm in the middle of the visa process to move with my wife and two children to Perth, WA
So far no major problems, as it's through WAPOL it's been fairly straightforward Panic has set in as things are now starting to move really fast and we've realised we're not really prepared.
Does anyone know if we should register our son with a school before we go. he turns 5 in March and we thought he went to school when he is 6, but we've had conflicting advice and we 're starting to worry.
Also does anyone who's made the move with young children have any tips on settling them into a new life, Is it easy to make friends?
Hi Kev, welcome to the site, it is briliant and in time someone will give you answers, not there yet ourselves so not much good to you but we have two teenagers and have been lookin at schools, but i dont think you can do much else only gather info on them and then when you get there you can register them, think thats the way it works.

nearly everyone on here has young children and we are all a friendly bunch. Ask as many questions as you want.There is always someone on here that can give you good advice and info.

Welcome to Poms! We have a 7 year old and I am just info gathering on schools at the mo. I dont think anything can beat actually going to the school, talking to the teachers and getting a real feel for the place. We are going to wait until we are there before we make a final choice.
