I'm new to this site (slowly working it out!!) so I thought I will introduce myself.
My name is Stuart i'm married 11 years to Anita (Aussie by birth) with have 2 sons Kieran (9) and Ethan (6) and a black labrador named Bayleigh (3). We have been considering the move to Austraila for sometime now and are slowly moving through the process of obtaining a partner visa for myself, Anita has an Aussie passport (Oct 2007) the boys have their citzenship by desent and I'm going to Austraila House this wednesday to do their passports, then it's onto the visa for me.
We haven't set any date to go yet but cannot wait to have that all important visa sorted out!
Reason for wanting to move is, to provide a better life for our children, we understand that Austraila isn't a bed of roses but i personaly feel it will provide a better future and lifestyle for our family.

Hi Stuart and Anita, we joined this site not long ago, I must warn you that although it is great it's more addictive than e-bay!
We are just starting our on line application for a skilled visa. We are moving for the same reasons as yourselves and we also discuss the thorny issues which we know will be ahead, but we still feel it is the right move for us. We have 2 children, 8 and 6. We haven't decided on area yet. GOOD LUCK.
