O/H and I just spent 6 weeks in Perth, my 2nd time, his 1st. We have now decided to make the move.
We've gone through an agency and it's looking positive, so fingers crossed.
I can only say good things about Australia, Ive read a lot of comments on the forum and everyone seems to be of the same opinion......ALL GOOD.
We stayed with my sister who has lived there for 17yrs.
Ive read that the cost of living is quite on a par with England but to be honest I agree with most, you have to shop around and look for the bargains.....something I am very good at!
O/H is a carpenter so he should get work quite easy, myself, I am a Trainer but am quite happy to clean someones loo if it brings in the money!

Look forward to sharing all the news with you all.

thought i would reply on your thread so not to take over someone elses

it does look hard but fairly straight forward but saying that would not like to do it now

as all changed in sept, where abouts in perth did you look as we have never been so that

is scary we were looking at port kennedy area but not bothered as long as work for oh

being a brickie, so will go where the work is as long as nice

Hi Julie/Janet
We stayed with my Sister in Duncraig, North of Perth City, about 15 - 20 min drive. Very close to Scarborough, Hilary Harbour, Joondalup. Its vey nice there but the property is quite expensive, we are looking at an area called Clarkson, 15 mins from Duncraig but very close to Mindarie. The agency said it had all changed in September, for the better from what I can see, it seems to be easier now.
