Wifey and I have decided we want to take the plunge and get ourselves to Oz or NZ, not sure which yet.
We are heading off to the Oz needs Skills gig at the beginning of March to start gathering info in earnest.
So intros.
My name is Kevin, my wife is Claudine (Clo), and we currently live in a village just outside Warwick. We don't have children.
Why do we want to leave the UK? I think the same as everyone else, nobody has a clue which direction this country is heading. We have no leadership, police being hamstrung by do-gooders and shackled by paperwork, street gangs, the list goes on..............
What do we expect from a new country? To improve our quality of life. We are very low maintenance people, bottle of wine and a good book or a game of Scrabble and we are happy. Money isn't our driving force. I know in NZ especially that wages are much lower than Oz or the UK but it sounds like the pace of life there would suit us.
Anyway, I'll keep popping back in from time to time and keep you posted as to our progress, but any websites or info you can throw our way would be very gratefully received.
