decisions..

how the hell do you make up your mind whether its the right move to go to Oz or not...we are fed up with the UK and everyone always says how great Oz is...I have also heard Syndey is expensive - does anyone have an idea how much a 3 bed house woudl be at the moment and which suburbs woudl be nice for a young family? hubby a chippie and have a now baby no family out there so a pretty daunting prospect as no job lined up..kind of just going and seeing what happens...any advice or are we mad to consider it? Woudl there be a better location we shoudl be looking at????

THanks

Hi Grace,
The best thing you can do to start with is try a migration agent and see if you have any chance or which way you could apply to migrate, there are many online and alot dont charge for an inital consultation,
next you could look at Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au to see property all over Oz (rents& buys)
also SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site is a good site to give you an idea of jobs,
take your time and do as much research as possible - the internet is a very resourceful and will aid you alot - also the peeps on this website will be able to give advice & tell of their experiences too
all the best

Like you we hadnt a clue when we first set the ball rolling and didnt know a sole over here!! it was very stressful and costs a few quid with medicals, police checks etc.We finally moved to Brisbane just over a year ago with our 2 kids (then 2 &7),,we knew straight away this was the life for us and havnt looked back since,we live in a lovely area close to shops and schools and the people are so friendly. Its hard finding an area as there are so many lovely suburbs, lots of reading on here should put you in a better position to decide what to do ,,good luck
